USA – With an ultra modern facility based in Kansas City, Kansas, Norbrook is a world leader in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry. It carries out contract manufacturing at our European facilities for the world's top 10 multinational pharmaceutical companies and has a strong pipeline of products available for the US market.
Northern Ireland – Commissioned in 1979, this site was especially built to facilitate the manufacturing of penicillins both in bulk and finished dose form. The facility is considered to be the largest of its kind in Europe producing amoxicillin, cloxacillin, ampicillin, cloxacillin benzathine, procaine penicillin products for medical and veterinary use.
Czech Republic – In 2005, our parent company purchased a manufacturing facility from Aliachem a.s. (Synthesia). This facility manufactures Procaine Hydrochloride and Benzocaine and is the largest of its kind in the world. Since our acquisition, there has been a substantial upgrading program and the facility is licensed for EC and US FDA standards.
Great Britain – One of the most advanced facilities in the UK, the Research Chemical Synthesis Division is located in Carlisle, Cumbria, England. Its mission is to develop and perfect to pilot plant stage and beyond, complex chemical processes either sterile or non-sterile. With ultra high technology systems, it is capable of dealing with the most sophisticated of processes compliant with European and FDA standards.
Australia – Our Australian and New Zealand business supplies global quality products packaged and configured to meet local customer needs. With a sales team across both countries, it services the needs of veterinarians, rural producers and the distribution networks that support them. Backed by our team in the UK, it is expanding rapidly in these key animal health markets.
South Africa – A wholly owned subsidiary of the parent company Norbrook, this ultra modern facility in Midrand facilitates the company's huge growth in the SA market – particularly in its veterinary division. Research and development in association with various academic institutions and universities enables it to be a major contributor to the development of the animal health industry.
Kenya – One of the largest pharmaceutical operations on the continent, it produces a large range of acaricides, sterile injectables, anthelmintics, analgesic antiseptics, antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. In addition, it Is a major producer of paracetamol and ibuprofen for pain control. With one facility in Nairobi and a second at the Athi River processing zone, Norbrook continues to enhance a research and development program in association with academic institutions.
Ireland – Norbrook Laboratories Ltd has a substantial presence in the Republic of Ireland with antibiotic production at our Rossmore site, and sales, marketing and distribution from our Co. Monaghan base. It is a major supplier of pharmaceutical bulk material to other companies, continuing to expand and increase our presence in the medical field.
